Hello Everyone,

Gary J. Tunnicliffe recently did an interview with filmmakers Adam Green (Hatchet series, Frozen, Digging Up the Marrow) and Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End) on their podcast Geek Nation and gave a brief update on Hellraiser: Judgement. It appears some of the material for the movie was too intense for the cast and crew.

Here’s what he had to say:

We did two sequences where… one the actress almost passed out… a scene that you especially, Adam… you are going to freak the fuck out,” he continued. I’ll tell you off air about it, and when I explain it to you, you’re going to be like, ‘Jesus Christ.’ Involving a small dog. No, the dog doesn’t get hurt. But it goes through some… trauma. And then we had three grips leave the set during a sequence when they said, ‘This is utterly screwed up.’

It sounds like Gary hasn’t pulled any punches when it comes to the violence in Judgment. I have to admit, hearing that about the dog already makes me feel uncomfortable. For some reason, I’m reminded of the the Chatterer Beast from Hellraiser: Bloodline? I just hope the film adds up to being more than a series of violent set pieces. Unfortunately, he gave no details on when to expect the film to be released.

Also, he shared a funny story about Clive Barker while they were doing the re-shoots for Hellraiser: Hell on Earth.

Follow the link below and give it a listen. There’s a lot of interesting topics covered about film making and how the business works. Very informative if you’re wanting to get into the business!

Thanks to Geek Nation and Bloody Disgusting for sharing the news.
